About

The Brain Fog X test, originally called Decisions, was developed in the 1980s by Dr Lawrence Youlten MBBS(London) PhD FRCP(Edinburgh).

Dr Youlten, was Head of a clinical pharmacology unit at GSK (then SmithKline Beecham). He was testing a new drug that he hoped might compete with anti-histamines in the treatment of allergies and asthma. Anti-histamines often have sedative side effects and it was important to check that this new drug did not make patients sleepy. The test was designed as a quick and simple way to check how people’s concentration and mental acuity changed while testing the new drug.

You can use the Brain Fog X test to monitor your cognitive function.

We recommend testing yourself every couple of months. It is particularly useful if you are recovering from a COVID19 infection.
